That thought sparked the eclectic interiors of Ta.Ma.Sha. “We retained parts of the old building—it has character. Then we added modern touches. Musical instruments, vintage books, and retro décor sit alongside clean Asian elements.
The café is spread across an open-air dining space and a cozy indoor retro lounge – ideal for lazy brunches, reading dates, content shoots, or cozy night-outs.
Ta.ma.sha., the city’s beloved first-of-its-kind vegetarian Asian cuisine coffee shop, is ready to elevate the dining experience with the launch of its third branch, bringing with it a brand-new look, an expanded menu, and an even more welcoming vibe.
Gunrock’s culinary scene just got a vibrant new addition with Ta.Ma.Sha – Asian Veg Café, where retro nostalgia meets bold, vegetarian pan-Asian flavours. Nestled in Gunrock Enclave, Secunderabad, this café fuses soulful design with a menu that travels from Bangkok to Tokyo — all without breaking a vegetarian promise.
The eatery embraced us with its warm, inviting glow, antique lamps, and a décor smitten with retro charm. Old books and vintage photo frames adorned the shelves, while guitars hung on the walls, whispering stories of a bygone era. A classic dessert counter stood by, offering a glimpse of the baristas and chefs at work.
Chef and co-founder Akshay Solanky says he noticed a gap in the market. “There weren’t many good coffee shops here where people could work, hang out or just enjoy a proper meal. Definitely none that served vegetarian Asian food,” he says. So they took over the old Gunrock Café and gave it a new twist — with coffee, food, and a cool space to relax.
